Faith Statement

TENETS OF FAITH

We believe ..................

a.         THE SCRIPTURES

The Bible is the inspired Word of God, the product of holy men of old who spoke and wrote as they were led by the Holy Spirit. (2 Tim 3:16)

b.         THE GOD-HEAD

Our God is one, but manifested in three persons: The Father, The Son and The Holy Spirit, being co-equal. (Phil 2:6)

c.         MAN, HIS FALL AND REDEMPTION

Man was created in the likeness & Image of God, but through Adam's transgression and fall, sin came into the world. God gave his son Jesus Christ to undo the works of the devil and shed His blood to redeem and restore man back to God. Gen 1:26-27, John 3:16, Rom 5:12, Rom 3:10, 1 John 3:8.

d.         ETERNAL LIFE AND THE NEW BIRTH

The new birth is necessary to all men, and when experienced, produces eternal life. 2 Cor. 5:17, John 3: 3-5, 1 John 5:17

e.         WATER BAPTISM

Baptism in water, by immersion is a direct commandment of our Lord and is for believers only. It's a symbol of the Christian identification with Christ in his death, burial and resurrection. Mtt. 28;19, Rom 6:4, Colo. 2:12 Acts 8:36-39.

f.          BAPTISM IN THE HOLY-GHOST

The baptism in the Holy-Ghost and fire is a gift from God to all believers. This experience is accompanied by the initial evidence of speaking of tongues as the Holy Spirit gives the utterance. John 14:16-17, Acts 1:8, Acts 2:38-39, Acts 19:1-7, Acts 2:4.

g.         SANCTIFICATION

The Bible teaches that without holiness no man can see the Lord. So we believe the doctrine of sanctification as a definite, yet progressive work of grace, commencing at the time of new birth and continuing until Christ return. Heb. 12:14, 1 Thes 5:23, 2 Peter 3:18.

h.         SIGNS & WONDERS

Through application of the New Testament mysteries such as laying on of hands to impart gifts. (2 Tim 1:6, Deut. 34:9), Holy Communication, a celebration of Jesus Victory over the devil (1 Cor 11:23-26) anointing with oil for healing and supernatural interventions (Mk 6:13, Ex 30: 25-31, James 5:14), feet washing to confirm dominion and covenant heritage of saints (John 13:3-10), Anointed clothing materials for special miracles (Acts 19: 11-12), The blood covenant for the release of captives (1 Cor 5:7, Ex 12: 1-25), and prophetic utterances for supernatural intervention.

i.          RESURRECTION OF THE JUST & THE RETURN OF OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST

His coming is imminent. Those who died in Christ shall rise first then we, who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with His saints (Rev. 20:6)

j.          HELL & ETERNAL DAMNATION

The one who dies in sins is hopeless and eternally lost in the lake of fire. This is an eternal separation and damnation judgment from God to all those whose names will not be found in the book of life. Heb. 9:27, Rev. 19:20.
